Heddon Fishing Lure Colors and Lure Box Numbers

The following color chart will help guide you to the correct color number for pre-1930 Heddon boxes.  The boxes tended to be lightly imprinted in red.  Heddon lure boxes were usually hand stamped after the box was printed.  Earlier picture or wood boxes had the name or number included in the original printing.  Unfortunately fakers use this information to create marked boxes with unmarked boxes with fake stamps to match the color of the lure.
